Business to Help Raise Money for Local Girl With Leukemia

Maleena Irene Hill, 6 months, is fighting leukemia. Help her and her family by canoeing at Heavner Canoe Rental May 18 to May 20.

Milford High School Teacher Jeff Hill's daughter Maleena was born in November 2011. At just six weeks old little Maleena was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She is now undergoing chemotherapy at Children's Hospital in Detroit.

To help the family, Heavner Canoe Rental in Milford is hosting a fundraiser May 18 to May 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During those dates, Heavner Canoe Rental will donate $10 from each canoe/kayak rental to the Maleena Irene Hill Leukemia Fund.
