3. Don't miss out

The Friends of Highland Recreation Area are proud to present a wonderful oral presentation by Mr. Steve Stanford beginning with William Ford (Henry's grandfather) immigrating to America from Cork county, Ireland and continuing throughout the Ford family legacy in America. When: Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 2:30 to 5:00 PM at Goose Meadow Pavilion in Highland State Recreation Area. Cost: Voluntary Donation

4. Save the date

This summer soccer balls will be sharing the field with broomsticks as the FC Bolton travel soccer club will be hosting an exhibition Quidditch match during this year’s AYSO Area 8G tournament. The tournament will be held June 8th at the Deer Run Soccer Complex in Linden, MI. Quidditch, the sport played by the wizards and witches of the Harry Potter novels, was adapted by college students in 2005 and named Muggle Quidditch, muggle being the name given to the non-magical in those same novels. The sport has continued to grow since then at universities across the US and abroad.

5. Last chance

Begin your summer with a trip to the library, sign-up for the summer reading program and join the party! See live animals on The Spirit of Alexandria's Nature Bus, play games, and make an adorable hedgehog craft. Also don't miss the chance to eat WORMS our special snack to celebrate the DIG INTO READING summer program! Please register everyone who will be attending the program separately.
