Fisk Farm Festival and More This Weekend in White Lake, Highland

  • Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year celebration, lasts through the evening of Friday, Sept. 6. 
  • The 28th annual Fisk Farm Festival will be held be starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, and Sunday, Sept. 8, at Fisk Farm, 9180 Highland Road in White Lake. The event will include food, pony rides, music, a bake sale, tours, historical encampments and a display of the Gettysburg battlefield in miniature.
  • The Huron Valley Optimists will host a golf scramble starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Dunham Hills Golf Course in Hartland. Proceeds will benefit community youth programs.
  • Sunday, Sept. 8, is Grandparents Day at the Michigan Science Center in Detroit. The celebration will include workshops from 1-3 p.m., crafts, nostalgic games, chemistry fun and homemade ice cream program.
