Kick Off Summer Reading and More This Weekend in White Lake and Highland

1. Summer Reading Kick Off

  • When: Saturday, June 8, 2013, 10:00 AM
  • Where: White Lake Township Library 7527 E Highland Road White Lake MI 48383
  • What: Dig into Reading during our 2013 Summer Reading Program! Come join us for story times, crafts, book clubs, movies and special events. Please register at the Library and receive a free bag of goodies with a complete schedule of events, read-ing log and information about tracking your summer reading progress online. Earn incentives including a ticket to our End of Summer Celebration! Also, programs for teens and adults too! Come join the fun!

2. Sierra Heights Annual Sub Sale

  • When: Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Where: Off Elizabeth Lake Road between Williams Lake Road and Union Lake Road
  • What: Family Subdivision garage sale, something for everyone!!

3 . Henry Ford and Family: From Roots to Branches

  • When: Saturday, June 8, 2013, 2:30 PM
  • Where: Highland State Recreation Area
  • What: Come celebrate what would have been Henry Ford's 150th birthday at the summer residence of his son. The Friends of Highland Recreation Area are pleased to be hosting renowned Ford historian Steven Stanford for a special presentation and discussion of the lienage of Henry Ford. You will journey through time as Mr. Stanford educates us from the earliest days when Henry's grandfather emigrated from Ireland through the current Ford legacy in America.  Meet at the Goose Meadow Shelter.
