The White Lake Township Fire Department has three stations. The central station is located just off M-59 across from Kohl's, station two is located at 800 Round Lake Road, and station three at 4870 Ormond Road.

Founded in 1948, the White Lake Township Fire Department began as an all volunteer department; it is now a combination career/paid on-call department. The department has 17 full-time firefighters, including the Fire Chief, 23 paid on-call firefighters and one clerical person. The maximum number of people on staff each day is six; the minimum is one. The paid on-call firefighters support the career staff and respond to emergencies from their homes at any time of the day or night.
