A 35-year-old Commerce man was arrested on charges of drunken driving after police say he crashed his car through the fence of Ivory Farms in White Lake Dec. 10 at 2:30 a.m. According to the report filed with the White Lake Police Department, the man failed to stop at Carol Lake Road near Cooley Lake in White Lake and drove through the fence at Ivory Farms. The driver was given field sobriety tests by police when they arrived on the scene and - according to the report - he failed. The man was given a preliminary breath test and registered a .19 blood alcohol level. A 25-year-old Milford man was arrested Sunday at 2 p.m. following a serious car accident on Milford Road in Highland. According to the report filed with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Highland Substation, the man was involved in an accident in the Village of Milford near Hector and Jimmy's, but fled the scene down Milford Road towards Highland where a second accident occurred. The report states that several witnesses saw the man's truck, a 2004 Ford F-150, speeding up to 80 mph, down the stretch between Milford and Highland, and passing cars in no passing zones. Due to the extent of injuries that occurred in the crash, the case will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office.
Preliminary findings released by the Auburn Hills Police Department Monday show Oakland County Executive L. Brook Patterson, his driver and a 31-year-old Royal Oak man involved in a crash on Friday were not wearing seat belts. Due to the extent of injuries that occurred in the accident at the intersection of E. Walton Blvd. and N. Opdyke Blvd., the case will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office when police complete their investigation, according to a press release. No decision will be made on tickets until after the prosecutor reviews the case, according to police.
