Best of White Lake Patch Winner: Leo's Coney Island

Leo's Coney Island won 40 percent of the vote in the Patch "Best Of" Lunch Spots contest.

Patch readers have spoken and the votes are in for the best lunch spot in White Lake. In our inaugural "Best of Patch" contest, 30 voters cast their ballots for the restaurant with the best lunch specials. And the winner is: Leo's Coney Island. Receiving 12 votes (40 percent) in the contest, the family-owned restaurant has been a popular lunch spot since it's opening more than four years ago. When dining on any given day, you'll often see township officials and police and firefighters enjoying their lunch break. The restaurant is owned by Jim and Jennifer Christopher. Eric- I'm really sorry you feel that way. Our servers stay with us for at least a year, and many have been with me since the beginning. The only servers we lose are when they move on in school or to career changes. I hope you'll give us a chance to be better next time you're in. By the way, we are the only Leo's to have Glutten Free menu items and a 16 ounce USDA Select T-Bone steak for $7.99!   more ›

Vote for the Best Businesses in White Lake

Patch will kick off a new feature next week.

Here at Patch, we're on a quest to find the businesses that outshine all others in White Lake. Over the next few months, we'll be looking for the best place to care for your pet, the mechanic that has had the most loyal customers for 20 years, and the hair salon that gets your 'do right every time. We'll be looking for the breakfast spot that's hopping every morning of the week. It could be the place that serves the best omlette or cooks it's bacon to perfection. Maybe it's the spot with the friendliest servers. You tell us the business you love most. Every other week, we'll host a poll asking you what your favorites are in a certain category. First up, it's lunch specials. Look for the poll on Monday, and get ready with your comments and …
