Four Civilians Honored for Saving a Toddlers Life

White Lake Township Fire Department honors four civilians for saving a child’s life after a near drowning episode at Teeple Beach in White Lake.

This article was submitted to White Lake Patch for publication by the White Lake Fire Department. On June 20, 2012 at approximately 2:20 the White Lake Township Fire Department was called to a near drowning situation at Teeple Beach in the Highland State Recreation Area. A two-year-old girl was seen floating face up in the water by 12-year-old Jamieson Prine. He in turn alerted two adult females, Nicole Aquilina and Angel Brant. The ladies jumped into action and pulled the young girl from the water. They began chest compressions while they called for help from anyone who knew CPR. The young child began vomiting water when Kelly McKnight who was trained in CPR began to help. The child continued to vomit water and started to breathe on her …
