Patch Reader Wins an Overnight Stay at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester

"I am so excited to have won! I never win anything," Dana Kaplan of Berkley said. Runner-up Melanie Prapotnik of White Lake won two microdermabrasion treatments from Abassi Dermatololgy in Northville.

 More than 285 photos were entered in Michigan Patch's 2013 "Object of My Affection" contest, but only two readers' names were selected in the drawing for a luxury hotel getaway and a set of spa treatments. The lucky ladies were Dana Kaplan of Berkley, who won an overnight stay at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, and runner-up Melanie Prapotnik of White Lake, who received two microdermabrasion treatments from Northville's newest business, Abassi Dermatololgy. Dennis Hubbard's prize is four tickets to the Detroit Zoo.

It was a photo entry of a giganotosaurus on Friday afternoon that was selected as the random winner of Patch's "Share Your Memories of the Detroit Zoo" contest. The winner, Dennis Hubbard, of Farmington Hills entered a picture of a life-like animatronic dinosaur at the popular Dinosauria exhibit at the Detroit Zoo.
