Huron Valley Schools to Hold Meeting With Residents Regarding Water Issues
Groundwater contamination has been reported near Lakeland High School off Bogie Lake Road in White Lake, according to Huron Valley Schools. The district will meet with residents affected by the contamination Wednesday.
The following is a letter from the Huron Valley School District sent to homeowners in White Lake affected by recent ground water contamination problems at the Huron Valley School District's Bogie Lake campus. A meeting will be held at Lakeland High School Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Representatives from many agencies and the district will be on hand to answer any questions. Over the past 12 months, Huron Valley Schools has been working to keep residents informed of an on-going groundwater study being completed in your neighborhood. The installation of groundwater monitoring wells and the decommissioning of the waste water treatment facility on the HVS’ Bogie Lake campus has raised a few questions among area residents. …
