The following are the events listed for both Indian Spring Metropark in White Lake, and Kensington Metropark in Milford for the month of April. A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $25 annually for regular admission, $15 annually for seniors or $5 daily. The loveable furry groundhog will let us know today whether there is six more weeks of winter or six more weeks until spring! Participants will learn about the interesting lives that groundhogs lead. Children, ages 3 to 5 years, should be prepared to go outdoors to see if they can find where Mr. Groundhog has been hiding out this winter. Fee: $5 per person. Throughout the month of November, Indian Springs Metropark will host the artwork of award-winning, Michigan-based photographer Bob Guiliani. On display at the park’s Visitors Center, Guiliani’s collection features images taken in Michigan, Alaska, Ireland and Italy, and includes a variety of images ranging from intricate close-ups to expansive panoramas. An artist reception will take place at the Visitor Center on Friday, November 2 from 5 pm to 8 pm, when Guiliani will be on hand to speak with visitors and sign copies of his book, Gallery Plus.
