Walled Lake Northern spoils Lakeland's homecoming, wins the battle of Bogie Lake.
Walled Lake Northern walloped Lakeland 51-6 on Homecoming to win the battle of Bogie Lake Road. The Knights scored early in the first half after an interception before a large homecoming crowd. The Eagles had trouble moving the ball in the first quarter, and Walled Lake Northern scored their first touchdown with 6:47 to go. The Eagles blocked the extra point giving the Knights a 6-0 lead. After holding the Eagles to a three-and-out the Knights kicked a 35-yard field goal to take 9-0 at the end of the first quarter. Walled Lake Northern broke the game open in the second quarter as they scored 21 unanswered points.
