Want to get your Leo's Coney Island fix in Waterford? You're in luck, the Waterford Leo's Coney Island opens at the end of February.
White Lake Leo's Coney Island Owner Jim Christopher is partnering with Rick Shebib, an Air Force fighter pilot, to open a new Leo's Coney Island in Waterford. According to Christopher, patrons can expect the same great food and service along with some new amenities. "We are using newer technology with our hot water," he said. "In addition, all the servers will take your order at the table and send it instantly to the kitchen via iPad Minis. This should increase efficiency by 20 percent and eliminate missed questions like what type of cheese, or what kind of toast. We will also have the new Coke Freestyle machine which has over 100 different combinations of soda." The Waterford Leo's will be the first Leo's location to have the Coke …

In a letter to White Lake Patch, Leo's Owner Jim Christopher thanks White Lake Police and Fire for helping with the restaurant emergency.
The following was submitted to White Lake Patch for publication by Leo's Coney Island Owner Jim Christopher. At 5 p.m. Wednesday we had a sprinkler head burst at Leo's Coney Island. That water line dispersed water for about 10-15 minutes, and engulfed 70 percent of the restaurant – dining room included. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in any way; public safety responders included. Personally, I would like to that the entire White Lake Police and Fire departments. From Marty who handled the call calmly and efficiently, to Officer Bellanger who arrived right behind the fire department, and who handled me with …

Kids enjoy face painting and balloon animals courtesy of Aunt Wilma at the weekly Leo's event.
Kids Night was filled with fun, face painting and balloon animals at the White Lake Leo’s Coney Island on Tuesday. Aunt Wilma, the balloon waitress, created special balloon animals for each child and painted movie characters of their choice on their hands and faces. The kids said they were amazed at the unique balloon characters she created including Lighting McQueen (from the movie Cars), Spiderman and leopards. Aunt Wilma (aka Wilma Jensen) is a graduate of clown school in Lansing, a 1998 inductee into the Midwest Clown Hall Of Fame and a clown in the Royal Hanneford Circus and the Circus Royale If you are looking for some family fun, come each Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. for this free event.
