Dear Citizens of White Lake Township, I would like to thank all of you that have both supported and voted for me in this past primary election. I will continue to work with our current and future board members in meeting the future needs and expectations of our residents to continue making White Lake Township the best place to live, work and play. The following was submitted to White Lake Patch for publication. I wanted to thank the staff Edna Green and Heidi Bay, and all of the volunteers of Highland Adult Activity Center for a great Summertime dinner dance. I was lucky enough to bring a table of friends who all stated how thoughtful and well planned this event was (though I am sure there is always room for more attendees) and cheap too! I was surprised to learn that Gwen Borders of Trifles of White Lake catered the event... I didn't know they did catered meals, it was wonderful. Terry Bar of Terry Bar Music is a truly great entertainer. And, thanks to Gunther and Anita Loepertz for presenting the Wine table (this was included in the price). The following letter is from County Commissioner Jim Runestad. I read with pleasure about the hiring of returning National Guard Sgt Ed Lasseigne by the Oakland County Cheriff Dept. Lasseigne was part of the 1775th military police company returning from Kandahar. I was honored to be invited to represent Oakland County as a County Commissioner at the Feb 4th welcome home event at the Waterford Mott high school gym. It was a very heartwarming experience to observe the loving embraces of the reunited families and to hear about all the achievements and accomplishments of this hometown unit. The one disappointing aspect I found hard to accept was talking to one of the generals about the job prospects for these returning heroes. Since most are …
