Police Question Suspect in Connection with Home Invasion and Larceny

Ross Austin Dimercurio, of Highland Township, has been charged with multiple crimes in the Brighton and Hartland area.

Authorities say a suspect has confessed to committing numerous crimes in Livingston County, including larcenies from motor vehicles and residential break-ins in the Brighton and Hartland area. Ross Austin Dimercurio, 18, of Highland Township, was questioned by detectives, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department. He was charged with one count of Second Degree Home Invasion, two counts of Breaking and Entering, less than $200, and two counts of Larceny from Motor Vehicle, less than $200. Police say the four separate incidents took place during the month of January, and Dimercurio targeted unlocked vehicle in driveways, mainly stealing money and electronics. Novi Pediatrician Accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct; Donations Stolen from Local Veterinary Hospital

A Novi pediatrician is facing arraignment Monday on three charges of criminal sexual conduct. Jeffrey Lee Dembs, 61, a West Bloomfield resident and doctor at the My Kid's Doc office on 12 Mile Road in Novi, is being accused on a count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, all with a person younger than 13. The incidents are believed to have occurred on or about spring 2009 to summer 2010. According to Troy-based criminal defense attorney Gerry Gleeson, Dembs went on a voluntary leave of absence after the arrest was made in late November. Teenage Couple Report Hit and Run by 'Crazy' Ex-Girlfriend from Highland

On December 3, an 18-year-old Highland woman was accused of rear-ending a car parked at the Speedway Gas Station in Hartland and then leaving the scene, according to a report from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. According to the report, the female suspect was parked at a gas pump around 11 p.m. when she noticed her 17-year-old ex-boyfriend arrive in a car driven by a 17-year-old female and park at the gas pump next to them. Police say that while the 17-year-old woman went inside the building to pay, the suspect spoke to her ex-boyfriend but said he was being rude to her. That was when, police say, the suspect decided to empty a bottle of soda and a bottle of water onto the drivers side seat.  When the 17-year-old female exited …

Driver Shot on I-96, Police Searching for Shooter

One driver is being treated for a gunshot wound to their buttocks, according to reports.

Updated on Saturday at 6 p.m. According to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, a 46-year-old man from Delton was the victim of a gunshot wound that struck him in his left buttock while travelling eastbound on I-96 on Saturday. The vehicle was struck by a fired projectile in the driver's side door from an unknown firearm, according to the report. Police say the victim was transported to Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital and is listed in stable condition. Another incident, which occured at 11:52 a.m., involved an 18-year-old male driver from Canton and his 18-year-old female passenger from Plymouth, both of who were unharmed, according to the report. White Lake Man Dies After Being Ejected from Motorcycle in Hartland

Christopher Muncy, 53, died on scene after being hit by several cars on U.S. 23, police say.

A 53-year-old White Lake man died at the scene of a traffic crash Wednesday after he lost control his motorcycle and was ejected into traffic, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. Police say that Christopher Muncy was driving his 2006 Honda motorcycle on U.S. 23, just north of Crouse Road in Hartland, around 10 p.m. on Sept. 12 when he lost control of the motorcycle and was hit by several cars in the left lane of southbound U.S. 23, according to the report. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The first vehicle that struck Muncy initially stopped, according to the report, but left prior to emergency vehicles arriving on scene.  Police are asking for help identifying the missing vehicle which based …

Former Detroit Lion and Hartland Dad Accused of Kidnapping Son

Family friend says Hartland dad suspected of kidnapping his 11-year-old son is a "good father."

It's been six days since 11-year-old Connor was reported missing by his mother, believed to have been kidnapped by his father, Mark Grabowski, of Hartland. Grabowski, a former Detroit Lions defensive lineman, is now wanted by police. A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he faces charges of kidnapping. Carry Headly, a family friend of Grabowski's, who was contacted by Hartland Patch, calls him a "happy-go-lucky," social guy who loves his son very much.
