If you can spare two hours to deliver meals, then the Western Oakland Meals On Wheels Program needs you! We can use your help delivering meals to the home-bound elderly and disabled people living in your neighborhood. You can be the one who brightens someone’s day by knocking on their door and delivering a nutritious meal. Volunteers do more than simply deliver a meal. They also provide a quick check in, a connection to the community and a warm smile. Often, the volunteer is the only person a meal recipient may see all day. Western Oakland Meals On Wheels is dedicated to ensuring that every member of the community has access to nutritious meals so he or she can continue living independently.
