Highland resident Jeffrey Pyne, 22, was on trial for more than two weeks for the May 2011 murder of his mother, Ruth.
After more than two days of deliberation, a jury in Oakland County Circuit Court found Highland resident Jeffrey Pyne guilty of second-degree murder. Pyne faces up to life in prison for the conviction. Pyne was on trial for more than two weeks and charged with murdering his mother, Ruth Pyne, in May 2011. Story developing... Jeff Pyne, the 22-year-old Highland resident accused of killing his mother, will have to wait until Nov. 12 for his day in court. His trial, initially set for Sept. 10, was delayed following Oakland County Medical Examiner Ljubisa Dragovic's heart attack.
