The White Lake gym, which opened in 2010 at Fisk Corners, renovated the space that used to be home to Blockbuster and AT&T near Walmart.
In just three weeks of reopening in its new location, Your Fit Club has enjoyed an increase in membership, according to gym owner Neal Stulberg. The 24-hour White Lake fitness club relocated from its location at Fisk Corners to 9140 Highland Rd., in the former Blockbuster/AT&T building near Walmart. "We wanted to offer more to our members," Stulberg said. "We were able to move into a building with a much larger space. Now we're able to offer group exercise, a juice and smoothie bar, daycare - all the features that were missing at the other one." Bill would offer grace period for small businesses to correct violations of regulations.
Congressman Kerry Bentivolio (MI-11) last week introduced his first bill, The Protect Small Business Jobs Act (H.R. 746), according to a news release from Bentivolio's office. This legislation offers small business owners a six-month grace period to correct a violation of federal regulations as long as the violation does not pose an imminent threat to life. "Small businesses are America's job creators," Bentivolio said in the news release, "and the massive regulatory state grows so quickly that they often have a tough time keeping up. This comes at the expense of jobs and economic growth. Can you believe that Black Friday is only one week away? Well, it continues to look like more stores have begun to creep into Thursday as the first big shopping day of the holiday season, and Walmart leads the charge. Last week the Bentonville-based Walmart revealed its Black Friday sales, which begins on Thanksgiving day at 8 p.m. The retailer also announced the sale of the Apple iPad 2, 16GB with Wi-Fi for $399 for shoppers in the store and in line between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. The store guarantees the price for the customers even if the items runs out, on condition the items are purchased by midnight. The gym, which opened in 2010 at Fisk Corners, is renovating the space that used to be home to Blockbuster and AT&T near Walmart.
Your Fit Club, a 24-hour fitness club in White Lake, is relocating from its location at Fisk Corners to the former Blockbuster/AT&T building near Walmart according to White Lake Township officials. Renovations on the space have been underway for more than a week, township Planning Director Sean O'Neil said. "I believe they are trying to open in the next few weeks if they can finish the necessary work," O'Neil said.
