2 Officers Injured During Arrest in White Lake
The following information was supplied by the White Lake Township Police Department. Arrests and charges do not indicate convictions.
A White Lake Police officer will be off work for one week after sustaining a hand injury during an arrest Aug. 19. Another officer sustained minor injuries in the same incident. According to the report, officers were called to a home off Fisk Road, in White Lake Mobile Home Park, at 11 p.m. for a reported assault. When police arrived they found a 22-year-old White Lake man and a 23-year-old White Lake female. The report states that the female told police the man had struck her during an altercation. Police conducted their investigation and attempted to arrest the man for assault. The man, according to the report, started to resist arrest and fought with the arresting office.
