A 23-year-old West Bloomfield resident was arrested Friday morning at Walmart in White Lake after police say he showed his gun during an altercation with an employee. According to the report, the man and his brother were walking through the toy department when they said hello to an employee stocking the shelves at 6 a.m. The report states that the two brothers got angry when the employee did not say hello back. A verbal altercation began, and the 23-year-old removed his gun from its holster and showed it to the employee after threatening to beat him up, according to the report. White Lake Police are looking for information about a recent crime spree in Fox Chase Subdivision in White Lake.
Police were called to several homes on Dillon Drive and Fox Chase Drive after several mailboxes were destroyed and car were broken into, White Lake Police officials said. According to the reports, the incidents happened sometime between Nov. 11 at 11 p.m. and Nov. 12 at 8 a.m. An unknown person, or persons, entered unlocked vehicles in the neighborhood and took a number of items including a walled with credit cards. They also entered a garage using an unlocked utility door and took GPS units, cash and gas cards from vehicles in the garage. A number of mailboxes were also damaged, the report states. There are no suspects at this time, and the incidents remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 248-698-4400.

A 33-year-old man from Ortonville was pulled over Nov. 11 at 3 a.m. driving a car that was reported stolen near Pontiac Lake Road and M-59, White Lake Police officials said. According to the report, while officers had the man pulled over they noticed a heavy smell of intoxicants. The man was given field sobriety tests and failed, the report states. A preliminary breath test was given, and the man registered at .15 blood alcohol level. The legal limit is .08. The man was arrested at the scene, and had a 13-year-old girl in the car with him. She was returned to her home by police. A $1,200 motorcycle was reported missing from a White Lake barn, and a thrown pumpkin damages a vehicle in Friday's crime report.
White Lake Police were called to a home on the 4000 block of Eagle Road in White Lake after a motorcycle was reported missing from a barn at the home - the motorcycle was later recovered by deputies in Highland. According to the report, the incident happened sometime between Nov. 5 and Nov. 6. The report states someone cut open the lock on the home's barn, and took a 2003 Honda XR motorcycle. Later in the evening on Nov. 6, deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff's Office found the motorcycle in a field in Highland - not far from the barn where it was taken. Lt. Deer disrupts business at Lakeside Window, escapes to area woods.
Employees at Lakeside Window in White Lake called police after a deer crashed through a side window at the business and was running loose in the building. Fortunately, according to the report, the deer was able to leave the business through the same window without injury. The report states that White Lake Police were called Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. because employees weren't sure how to get the frightened deer out of the building. Prior to police arrival, the deer was able to get out and returned to the wooded area near the business. There was only minimal damage reported, the report said. A 14-year-old runaway from Waterford Township is likely facing armed robbery charges after White Lake Police say the teen attempted to rob a local dollar store. According to the report, the incident happened Oct. 29 at 7:55 p.m. at the Dollar Tree on Cooley Lake Road. The report states that the teen entered the store wearing a mask from the movie Scream. He went to the back of the store, grabbed a kitchen knife from the display and walked to the front of the store. When he reached the checkout, the report states that the teen pointed the knife at the cashier and demanded money. White Lake Police were called to Cedarbrook Estates after a witness reported seeing an assault and battery. The incident happen at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24. According to the report, three teens, ages 16 and 14, were walking down the street when two males, both 23, approached them. The report states that one of the 23-year-olds accused one of the 16-year-olds of being inappropriate with his niece. The report states that the two 23-year-olds then began to punch and kick the 16-year-old. At that time, the 14-year-old and second 16-year-old jumped in to defend their friend. White Lake Police say an accidental overdose is likely the cause of death.
A 23-year-old White Lake man was found dead Oct. 20 at a home off Pontiac Lake Road. According to the report, a witness told police that the man had been seen the night before acting lethargic. The witness told police, the report states, that the man had come over to his home and ingested alcohol along with prescription and non-prescription medication. When the witness woke up in the morning, he found the man dead. The report states that there were no visible signs of bodily harm, and that the department is awaiting toxicology reports. Lt. The large raccoon was seen foaming from its mouth and nose on the porch of a home in White Lake.
White Lake Police responded to a home on Bonita Drive Oct, 22 after a homeowner reported having a large raccoon foaming from its mouth and nose on his back porch. When the officer arrived, according to a police report, he corralled the raccoon into a garbage can and shot it. The raccoon did not die. According to the report, the officer shot the raccoon again, in the head, then had to leave to respond to a retail fraud. The officer returned two hours later, and the raccoon was still in the garbage can - alive. A 48-year-old White Lake man discovered his family's Jackson County property listed for sale on Ebay on Oct. 18, according to White Lake Township Police. Police said someone had forged a quick-claim deed and listed it on the site. White Lake Township Police are investigating; however the case may be referred to another agency. A laptop was stolen from an unlocked car overnight sometime between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 on the 3000 block of Pine Needle Drive, according to White Lake Township Police. Police were able to obtain the serial number of the laptop and entered it into the system as stolen. About $2,000 worth of hunting gear, jewelry and camera equipment was stolen from an unlocked car overnight between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 on the 2000 …
