There is a lot to celebrate about White Lake and Highland: great family-friendly activities and great local businesses. But who do you think is the best? Help Patch determine the best of the best by voting for your favorites in each one of the categories below. (Click on the links under each category and vote in the poll attached to each article.) Cast your vote by August 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named the Readers' Choice winner.

Patch is on a mission to compile the best of White Lake and Highland, and we need your help. All summer, we'll run a contest where you can nominate and vote for your favorite people, places and businesses in town. Tell us where you love to shop, eat, take your kids, which services you can’t live without. WE WANT TO KNOW, and so do your neighbors! Earlier this summer, we asked you to help us gather nominations for Patch Readers' Choice 2012. For three weeks in June and July you told us about your favorite hair salons, your favorite dentist and the best place to buy ice cream. Now it's time to put those nominations to a vote. Cast your vote by Aug. 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named the Readers' Choice winner in that category.
