Each day leading up to Christmas Day, Patch will offer holiday-themed music playlists.
Do you hear what I hear? Christmas carolers are making their way to local neighborhoods and A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life are starting to make the rounds on repeat on TV networks. To get in on the holiday spirit, Patch is creating playlists of Christmas music each day to help spread the cheer. So here's the deal: Each day, from today through Christmas, we'll feature a uniquely different, themed Christmas music playlist. Today's theme is Hollywood Christmas. We've hand-picked songs from some of the Christmas movie greats—with a few obscure additions. Nothing says Christmas like gathering the family to watch your favorite holiday movie while enjoying a nice cup of hot chocolate.
Let me start by saying - I love hot chocolate. So, when I saw this recipe for Polar Express Hot Chocolate on the blog Honey & Fitz I knew I had to make it. Don't be afraid when you see the ingredients - this is a decadent, rich, flavorful hot chocolate. Sorry, but it's not healthy. However, making this on Christmas Eve could be the start of a wonderful tradition and indulging in something as wonderful as this hot cocoa once a year won't hurt. To make this delicious recipe you'll need: To make, mix together all ingredients in a large pot. Then, warm slowly over low heat, stirring regularly, for 30-40 minutes. OUTSIDE DETROIT– Giving up a promising career in Hollywood to start a family might be a difficult choice for a talented young actress, but for Virginia Patton, the decision paved the way for a wonderful life away from the limelight. Patton, now 86, portrayed Ruth Dakin Bailey in the 1946 Frank Capra classic It’s a Wonderful Life, starring alongside such screen legends as James Stewart and Donna Reed at just 20 years old, but left acting soon afterwards to move to Ann Arbor to pursue a family with husband Cruse W. Moss, a successful automotive executive.
