Talk About Town: What are Your Winter Weather Predictions?

We've had a warm spring, hot summer and cool fall, does this mean we can expect a cold and snowy winter? Share your winter weather predictions.

The early predictions on what we can expect this winter have been mixed. One source says to expect a cold and snowy winter, while another states we could have another mild winter. According to the Farmers' Almanac, the Great Lakes region should be snowier and colder than average this winter. The Almanac predicts the region will get its first snow on Nov. 8, and that a snow storm bringing more than eight inches of snow will hit sometime between Jan. 20-23. A recent article published in the Detroit Free Press, however, states winter this year might be similar to last year's.
