Elementary and Secondary Education Tutor available for Summer of 2021.

Hello to whom this may concern,

My name is Marissa Weber. I am currently a weekly mentor for Center for Success Michigan. I help elementary and secondary education students improve their reading, writing, comprehension, and communication by using virtual books and educational websites through zoom. I also tutored and mentored through 826 Michigan twice a week during the winter of 2021. I tutored two students for 1 hour a week in elementary (1st through 5th-grade) math and science via zoom. In addition to tutoring through 826 MI, I mentored elementary students in several creative writing classes virtually.

Presently, I am a full-time and permanent building substitute teacher through the district of Walled Lake. I currently substitute teach at Clifford Smart Middle School full-time. I have experience in 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade subjects, special education, and resource room subjects. I also attend Wayne State University's graduate program in Secondary Education, with my concentration being in Social Studies. I will take my Michigan Test for Teaching Certificate in the summer of 2022. I also have a current live scan which includes an in-depth background check. My live scan was sent to the FBI and the Michigan State Police for verification and approval before starting my current position through EDU Staff and the Walled Lake District on May 12th, 2021.
