Relay For Life of North Oakland County Ready for 2024
WATERFORD, Mich., April 25, 2024 – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of North
Oakland County proudly acknowledges and extends heartfelt gratitude to the generous
donors, sponsors, and the community for their unwavering support during the 2023
campaign. The collective efforts have resulted in an exceptional achievement, raising an
impressive $66,876 in 2023. The funds raised in 2023 directly contributed to the American Cancer Society's mission,
including disbursing $150,000 in lodging and transportation grants to hospital partners in
Michigan. This support also translated into 3,582 free nights of lodging for Michigan residents
traveling for cancer treatment. Moreover, the contributions played a pivotal role in funding
over $14 million in active research grants for Michigan-based cancer researchers. Thereʼs still time to join us and make an impact in 2024! Relay For Life of North Oakland
County is eager to broaden its impact within the county and invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to partner in various ways. Opportunities include:  forming a Relay team,  hosting a fundraiser,  joining the planning committee,  sponsoring events,  donating items for auctions,  connecting with community leaders or groups
The 2024 event is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Pierce Middle School from 2- 10:30pm. Highlights include an Opening Ceremony and Survivor Celebration at 2pm, a Silent
Auction from 2:30-5pm, performance by hypnotist Mike Brody at 3pm, and the Luminaria

A Summer Camp Adventure with God
Central United Methodist Church invites children ages 3 years through 5th grade to Camp Firelight VBS where we will be on a Summer Camp Adventure with God! Kids will explore timeless Bible stories that demonstrate how people trusted God in the face of their own fears and went on to do great things in God’s name. They’ll learn ways they can put their trust in God when they are afraid, challenged, or called to do God’s work and share the Good News of God’s love through Jesus Christ.
Camp Firelight VBS features:
<ul><li>Free daily opening and closing gatherings with music, dancing, and puppet show</li><li>Free daily snacks, lemonade, snow cones, and more</li><li>Free dance party with fun music</li><li>Free daily spectacular camp craft</li><li>Free inflatables including a climbing wall and axe-throwing</li><li>Free Bible experiences to show children they can trust God all the time</li></ul>
